Slovenia is a country in Central Europe famous for its beautiful scenery of lakes, mountains and, in the winter, ski resorts. It hit my radar earlier this year (2016) when a friend visited and showed me photographs of Lake Bled. We just HAD to visit. Then when one of my favourite bloggers said Ljubjana was their number one city in the world in terms of liveability it sealed the deal!
We added a visit to Slovenia onto the end of our holiday in Croatia. It was a whistle stop tour and I would definitely go.
Highlights of our trip were Ljubljana which is a compact pedestrian friendly city at heart and the stunningly beautiful Lake Bled.
